As the Game Developer Conference (GDC) kicks off this week in San Francisco, our own Art Director, Shawn Robertson, will take part in a two-session artist portfolio panel called “Killer Portfolio or Portfolio Killer”. The first session plans to expose portfolio pitfalls, discuss ways on how to avoid them, as well as provide real world examples on how to succeed in getting and holding an art director’s attention. While the second session will review individual artist portfolios.
If you’re an aspiring game artist and you’re going to be at GDC this week be sure to join these sessions. They’re ideal for anyone looking to create or improve a portfolio and break into the industry as a game artist, as well as those already in the industry who may be looking to brush up for a job change.
